My Story
Raised in Northern Arizona
Clarkdale, Prescott, Flagstaff. All of these Arizona towns gave me immense outdoor freedom to explore and find plants and animals that made me curious for my whole childhood. These curiosities feed my commitment to an Associate's of Science, Bachelor's of Biology and my research in Wildlife Conservation in Flagstaff, Arizona, Australia and India. I learned about how ecosystems feed off each other and interact with each other in numerous biomes. I also began to understand how valuable indigenous knowledge can save a lot of struggle that some modern cities and towns experience. This lead me to want to start with ancient knowledge in my home gardens rather than relying on what the "latest-and-greatest" technology had to offer.
Africa Ancestry
As an adopted child, my adopted family always made an effort to help me stay connected to my ancestry. They were instrumental in me successfully locating my paternal and maternal birth family in the fall of 2024. I have always appreciated the similarities between Arizona and African wilderness
Growing Family more Naturally
When I began my first pregnancy I began to notice that most of the "organic" skincare products I had been using began to leave my skin over-dry, and sometimes even burnt from chemical stabilizers and synthetic preservatives. This is when African plants like became a necessity for moisturizing and aromatherapy and dried herbs from Northern Arizona became a necessity to manage my fluctuating hormones, fatigue, and postpartum depression. Now, as my ancestoral knowledge continues to grow as my family continues to change, my 3 children and I love to make our own aromatherapy blends for stress, anxiety, common cold, bug bites and any situation under our sun.
